At present, COVID-19 is continuously changing the landscape not just of the workplace, but of the rest of the world. We are all only beginning to understand the pandemic and so much is still unknown.

2-3-4 Navigation is not meant to be an exhaustive list nor a redesign of the organisation but a tool to help teams and individuals find their way during these uncertain times. It is grounded on the human and well-being side of employee experience, led by an intentional mindset and high-level identity (understanding the purpose and meaning beyond the action). It is as a guide that helps you organise and compartmentalise thoughts and insights through focusing on the 3 realms of EX: Culture, Technology, and Environment, using the 4c's of being humans at work.

EX involves everything that an employee encounters during his or her lifespan in the organisation. This includes the daily routines and movements from the moment the employee leaves home for work, gets to the office, to what view she has at her desk, and even to what operating system her computer has. It is also about the wider experiences in the organisation such as processes and overall culture.

"Over the past few decades, organizations have made considerable investments in employee engagement programs, yet scores remain at their lowest levels. Something doesn't make sense here. Unfortunately, employee engagement has become an adrenaline shot that most organizations use to temporarily boost scores. Usually, this is done in the form of perks such as free food, a new floor plan design and perhaps a work-from-home program. While these things are great, they don't achieve the intended results for either employees or the organization. Employee experience, on the other hand, involves a complete redesign of the organization that puts employees at the center. In other words, instead of trying to force people to fit into outdated workplace practices, organizations must redesign their workplace practices to fit with their people." - SHRM

The 4 C's of Humans in Teams is an empathy chart that guides you to focus on each (or all, as you see fit) of the 3 realms of EX by asking yourselves and each other:

How you're showing Care

How you're Communicating

How you're building each other's Capabilities

How you're exhibiting Courage or how you help your teammates find theirs.

It is a chart that can be used as often as you find necessary and in any situation that calls for its need.
